Get flawless results in 3 steps with Chipex car paint
Forget hefty garage bills. With our touch-up paint kits, you can achieve seamless results at a fraction of the price. Our repair paint is easy to use — follow these straightforward steps to eliminate scratches, scrapes, and chips.
Prepare the damaged area
First, clean the damaged area to remove dirt, wax, and polish so that the paint will adhere well.
1. Apply your gray car paint
Use the supplied application brush to add your Chipex touch-up paint, then leave it for up to 5 minutes until it is touch-dry. For minor road rash, you may be able to use your finger to dab the paint on — ensure you wear the protective gloves included in your kit.
2. Add the blending solution
Once the paint is touch-dry, you can remove the excess using the blending solution. This will create a seamless join with the existing paintwork. Apply a small amount of the solution to the paint removal cloth, and rub it gently over the repaired area. Let it dry for a few minutes.
3. Polish the repaired area*
*Note: This step is not suitable for matte gray car paint.
To restore your vehicle’s shine, use the finishing polish. Apply it to the microfiber cloth and rub the polish over the treated area. Wait until it has dried to an opaque hue and then use the cloth again to buff the polish away.
