How to apply our high-quality touch-up paint
Our aim is to make car paint repair as straightforward and affordable as possible. In a few simple steps, you can say goodbye to chips, scuffs, scratches, and road rash — without the expense of a garage repair.
1. Prepare the affected area
Ensure the damaged area is thoroughly cleaned and any wax or polish has been removed so that the touch-up paint will adhere well.
2. Apply touch‑up paint
Use the supplied brush to apply your black car paint and leave it to dry (this usually takes up to 5 minutes). For road rash, you can apply the paint with a finger — make sure you’re wearing protective gloves.
3. Remove excess with blending solution
When the paint is touch-dry, add a small amount of the blending solution to the paint removal cloth. Apply this to the painted area, using very gentle pressure; the blending solution will remove any excess paint. Leave it to dry for a few minutes.
4. Polish to restore shine*
*Note: Do not carry out this step on matte black car paint.
Once the painted area is completely dry, apply a bit of the finishing polish to the microfiber cloth. Rub this over the treated area and wait for it to dry — it will look opaque.
Buff the polish away using the microfiber cloth.
